Courtney Morrison

Courtney Morrison is a multi-tasking entrepreneur, creative, and integral part of Grassroots Wood Fired Pizza, a thriving family-owned culinary destination located on a fifth-generation century homestead just outside of Lucknow, Ontario.

Courtney officially joined the family pizza business alongside her partner, Blair Morrison, in 2021. Since their arrival, the couple has brought fresh creative talent to the farm, helping expand the business in unimaginable ways—including the launch of on-farm accommodations, farm store and expanded farm pizzeria offerings.

After taking over the business in 2024, the farm pizzeria has exploded to attract over 500+ pizza lovers each weekend during peek season! With the opening of their newly reimagined farm pizzeria building set for June 2026, there is no where but up for this growing family business!

More recently, Courtney’s role on the farm has beautifully evolved as she embraces the busy and rewarding journey of motherhood. Now raising the next generation of future Morrison pizza-makers, much of her focus on social media (@grassrootsfarmlife) and in daily life revolves around the beautiful, sometimes chaotic reality of raising children on a working pizza farm. She is deeply passionate about instilling a homegrown lifestyle in her kids and involving them in our business, even if just from the comfort of the baby carrier!

When she isn’t chasing kids or keeping the family on their toes, Courtney wears many other hats on the farm. She actively manages the farm's social media presence and supports the day-to-day operations of the Farm Stays and behind the scenes administration for the Pizza Business.
